Each gauge features a unique funnel that prevents unwanted leaves, and debris from entering the tube and that can result in inaccurate readings and a clogged rainwater collector. Mounting Instructions:
Make sure you are mounting your rain gauge in an open, unobstructed spot for the best
reading. For the best results, avoid trees, house eaves, or anything that could interfere with direct rainfall and locate the rain gauge funnel higher than the object you are mounting it on. For mounting to a chain link fence, use plastic zip ties available in home improvement and hardware stores.

The EZRead Classic Jumbo rain gauge is not freeze resistant and we do not recommend leaving your rain gauge outside in the freezing temperatures.
