Vintage Early 1960’s AMF B-518 Rare “Orange” Metal Go Trac Chain Drive Pedal Tractor. Overall condition of this tractor is good, especially considering that it is close to 60 years old. My brother received this for Christmas in 1962 and he passed it onto my son. The tractor has all original parts and paint and hasn’t been restored. It is has all metal parts, except for the simulated engine, which is plastic and the tires. There is no rust I can see and it has been stored either in my parents basement or in my attic out of the weather for all these years. My son used it over 20 years ago when visiting his grandparents, but it hasn’t been used since. Without having a child pedal the tractor both the pedals, wheels and steering wheel seems to be operating normally. Although I have lightly cleaned the tractor to remove dust, I believe with some good wax or non-abrasive metal cleaner the paint can be rejuvenated. The only issue is that when my brother was young he placed a Six Flags over Georgia and I believe an old NASCAR bumper sticker on the seat. I didn’t remove them because I was worried I may damage the paint on the seat.
